A Word from the LPA Chairman

Lutheran Principals Australia is a national Association that serves to provide opportunities for collegial networking, professional learning, and support for Principals of Lutheran Schools across Australia.

The journey has been challenging, but the formation was fully supported in consultation with principals of Lutheran Schools. The logo developed over a decade ago, clearly identifiying the group as working cooperatively across the state borders, with the Cross of Christ bringing and holding us together.

In 2010 there was a strong desire for the group to build leadership capacity and support principal wellbeing, which was identified by members as a key need at this time. In later years, LPA has sought to also provide a respected voice to both Lutheran Education Australia (LEA) and the Lutheran Church of Australia (LCA) on matters of significant national interest.

LPA is privileged to host the biennial National Lutheran Principal Conference (NLPC), and ongoingly provides professional learning opportunities to support members in their principalship.

On behalf of the LPA Board of Directors, I wish you God’s richest blessing as you continue the important work of serving your school communities.
