LPA Membership

Eligibility 

Full Membership

Newly appointed principals of Lutheran schools are encouraged to join Lutheran Principals Australia, providing they meet the following requirements:

  1. in the opinion of the Board holds the ideals of the promotion of the objects of the Company as set out in clause 7.1; and
  2. is a Principal or Head of College of a Lutheran School. 

Associate Membership 

Associate Membership is offered for those employed in a senior leadership position of a Lutheran School or acting in such a role for an intended period of time. This membership status has all the same benefits and responsibilities of Full Membership, consistent with the LPA Constitution, apart from voting rights and the ability to serve as a Director of the Company.

Benefits

The benefits associated with becoming a member of LPA include:

  • Invitations to attend professional learning activities such as the biennial National Lutheran Principal Conference, webinars, workshops and travelling scholar events 
  • Invitations to apply for member grants to support participation in the LPA Shadowing Program or professional learning experiences 
  • Access to a national email network enabling members to communicate across borders, using: principals@group.lpa.edu.au
  • Receive regular LPA publications and quarterly eNewsletters 
  • Access to LPAConnect - a members-only portal which provides a centralised point of reference to the broad range of resources to support you in your Principalship
  • Receive a member gift upon joining 

Fees

The annual full membership fee in 2026 is $300.00 + GST which can be attributed to professional association fees on your school budget. Associate Membership fees shall be set at 75% of the fee applicable for full Membership.

Application 

Each application for membership of Lutheran Principals Australia must:

  1. Be lodged with the Executive Officer via email and must set forth the name and address of the applicant;
  2. Specify the relevant credentials of the applicant to qualify as a Member; and
  3. State that the applicant agrees to comply with the terms of the Company’s Constitution
