LPA Welcomes New Chair

LPA welcomes John Thompson, Principal of Immanuel College in South Australia, as its newly elected Chair.

John began his career in Lutheran education at Unity College in 2000 and has since served in a range of teaching and leadership roles across all three Lutheran education regions. After leading Victory Lutheran College as Principal from 2015, he returned to South Australia with his family in 2025 to become Principal of Immanuel College. 

An LPA Board Director since 2023, John brings extensive leadership experience and a strong commitment to the wellbeing of Lutheran leaders. Outside of work, he is a passionate supporter of the Collingwood Football Club, enjoys golf, travelling, wine tasting and spending time with his family.

LPA extends its sincere thanks to Daniel Weller for his dedicated leadership and service as LPA Chair over the past three and a half years. We are grateful that Daniel will continue on as a Director of the LPA Board.
